Fall Data Center Conference Schedule 2012

Integrated Design Group will be attending multiple conferences this season.  Check out the list below of our must-attend data center conferences for fall 2012.

We attended Datacenter Dynamics Converged in Washington, DC.on Wednesday, September 12th at the Grand Hyatt Washington.  Some important topics that covered include: outsourcing decisions, IT optimization, and designing, building and operating mission critical facilities.  Among the featured speakers were Robert J Carey, US Department of Defense, Principal Deputy CIO; Brian Cobb, Capital One, Managing Vice President, Data Center Management; Don Beaty, ASHRAE TC 9.9, International Chair DLB Associates President and many more.

Next we have Tier1 Hosting & Cloud Transformation Summit, North America’s go-to convergence event for CIOs, cloud decision-makers, vendors and investors.  This conference will take place from Tuesday, September 18th to Thursday, September 20th at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.  This is the premier forum for executives hosting, cloud computing, datacenter and Internet infrastructure sectors.  Corporate leaders, industry visionaries, practitioners, financial professionals and end users come together to learn, network and map out strategies for today’s rapidly changing marketplace. The program at the Summit provides a complete overview of the opportunities and challenges facing the hosting and cloud industries in a power-packed three-day format.  The keynote speaker on Wednesday, September 19th is Rachel Chalmers, the Research Vice President, Infrastructure Management, of 451 Research.

Another event happening during the same time as the Tier1 Hosting & Cloud Transformation Summit is the 7×24 Exchange Borgata 2012 Event.  This conference will be held at the Borgata Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ from Tuesday, September 18th through Wednesday, September 19th.  The 7×24 Exchange Borgata Event will focus on comprehensive programming covering a full range of topics including:  energy efficiency, DCIM, power and cooling, data center design and builds, disaster recovery, security, virtualization, colocation and cloud.  A few notable speakers include Carl Cotulli, Bloom Energy; John Boggs, Emerson Network Power; Brian Patterson, Emerge Alliance and Armstrong World Industries; Dave Geary, Starline DC Solutions and many more.

One other notable event taking place at the end of September is the National AFCOM/Datacenter World Fall Conference.  This conference will be taking place from Sunday, September 30th to Wednesday, October 3rd at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.  Integrated Design Group will only be present at the two-day expo taking place on October 1st and 2nd.  Data Center World features more than 12 hours of Expo Hall time allowing attendees ample opportunity to browse, meet, and discuss options with those service the industry. Additionally, specific networking events are scheduled to allow for further discussion in a more relaxed atmosphere.

ID will also be in attendance at the IAMC Fall Conference from October 13th through October 17th in Omaha, NE.  This year, IAMC, or the Industrial Asset Management Council, will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary.  New and different networking opportunities and high-quality programming will revolve around the theme, “The Perfect Ten – Building on the Past; Creating our Future”.  An impressive line-up of keynote speakers, workshops and networking events will set the tone for this landmark forum.

Another major event Integrated Design Group will be attending is the National 7×24 Exchange Fall Conference from November 11th to November 14th.  This conference will take place at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, AZ.  The focus for this event is “From Idea to Impact” and it’s designed for anyone involved with the 7×24 infrastructures – IT, data center, disaster recovery and network/telecommunication managers; computing technologists; facility or building managers, supervisors and engineers.  Vendors, consultants, or anyone concerned with the uninterrupted access to critical information will also find the conference of value.  Zanny Minton-Bedeos, the Economic Editor for The Economist and former IMF Economist, will be the keynote speaker addressing the topic, “Stress-Testing America’s Prosperity: A Post-Election Analysis”.

At the end of November, ID will attend the IMN 3rd Annual Forum on Financing, Investing and Real Estate Development for Data Centers Conference.  This conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara on November 29th through 30th in Santa Clara, CA.  A few noteworthy speakers include Rob Stephenson, President & CEO Access Northeast; Robert B. Bellinger, President & CEO ASB Capital Management, LLC; Paul Estes, President & CEO Cequel; Mike Ballard, CEO Cobalt Data Centers; Todd Coleman, COO Cologix, Inc. and many more.

And last, but not least, Integrated Design Group will be in attendance at the Gartner Data Center Conference from December 3rd to December 6th.  This conference will take place at the Venetian Hotel Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.  The Gartner Data Center Conference is the longest running event community of data center professionals charged with managing and advancing their enterprise’s evolving IT infrastructure requirements. They share forward thinking, unbiased research and dynamic, actionable advice for the data center professional, based on collective global analyst experience for both users and vendors of technology.  Dave Barry, author of “The World According to Dave Barry” and Dave Cappuccio, Managing Vice President and Chief of Research at Gardner will be the keynote speakers for this event.
