Last week I had the opportunity to visit with our Dallas office while I was there preparing for the 21st Century Data Center Symposium that Integrated Design Group is hosting on April 26th at Cityplace Conference Center. Since my last visit in the Spring of 2011, the Dallas office has nearly doubled in size, making some fantastic new hires in the architectural, engineering and project management disciplines. Although we have many modes of communication from office to office, being face to face with colleagues is helpful. I was able to get the skinny on an exciting new project in Mexico, and I talked to one of our architects about collaborating on an article on our energy-efficient data centers.
I also got to do Happy Hour, Dallas style! The city offers some amazing restaurants and bars. Tom, our business development pro, organized an event at Saint Ann’s Restaurant and Bar, which has the largest garden patio in Dallas. We had an excellent turn-out and I got to network with friends from CyrusOne, Brandt Engineering and C&D Technologies. Several people are amped up about the data center symposium and I even got some sponsorship interest.
I look forward to my next visit in April when I am down there for the symposium. Stay tuned for updates!
